Christopher Marshall

Chairman Christopher "Woody" Marshall has been a director of TheStreet, Inc. since August 2009 and was named chairman in January 2011.
Mr. Marshall currently serves as a General Partner at Technology Crossover Ventures ("TCV"), a leading private equity and venture capital firm with $7.7 billion under management focused on information technology companies. Prior to joining TCV in 2008, he spent 12 years at Trident Capital, a leading venture capital and private equity firm focused on the software, business services and internet markets. Earlier in his career, Mr. Marshall worked for Banque Paribas and the Chase Manhattan Bank.

Ronni Ballowe

Director Ms. Ballowe (née Sonnenberg) has been a director of TheStreet, Inc. since August 2009.
Ms. Ballowe spent 19 years at Ziff-Davis Inc., then a leading technology media company, serving in several senior executive positions, including Publisher of the flagship PC Magazine, Publisher of Computer Shopper and President of Ziff-Davis. After leaving Ziff-Davis in 1998, she turned her attention to helping non-profit organizations in strategic planning, marketing, fund-raising and organizational dynamics. More recently, Ms. Ballowe has been consulting to media and other companies in a variety of roles, including CEO coaching, strategic planning, marketing and sales training.

William R. Gruver

Director William R. Gruver has been a director of TheStreet, Inc. since October 2003.
Prior to joining the Company as a director, Mr. Gruver spent 20 years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., the international investment banking firm. In the wake of the 1987 stock market crash, Mr. Gruver was named Chief Administrative Officer of the firm's largest division the equities division which, under his leadership, reorganized and redeployed its people and capital to become one of the firm's most profitable areas. In 1992 the firm was listed as one of the "100 Best Companies To Work For," and Mr. Gruver retired as a general partner in the firm's most profitable year of his tenure.
Mr. Gruver has remained active in finance and business. In addition to being a director of TheStreet, Inc., he is a board member of Hirtle, Callaghan & Co, (a $13 Billion Investment Advisor), Bank Nord (a private bank in Milan, Italy), and GPS Partners (a hedge fund based in Los Angeles).
An international strategic consultant for financial firms in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy and Switzerland, Mr. Gruver is also a national arbitrator of the National Association of Securities Dealers and sits on the boards of Berea College and the Geisinger Health System Foundation.
Mr. Gruver is an Adjunct Professor in the Management Department of Bucknell University, where he teaches courses in investment banking, strategy, investments, leadership and, international relations, and where he serves as the Distinguished Executive-in-Residence.
Mr. Gruver's thoughts have been published by (among others) The New Republic, The Association of Governing Boards (AGB), Cornell University's Johnson School, Finanz and Wirtschaft, the Holocaust Centre (Beth Shalom) and Physician Executive.
Mr. Gruver holds an AB (with distinction) from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Columbia University.

Derek Irwin

Director Mr. Irwin has served as a director of TheStreet, Inc. since November 2007.
Mr. Irwin is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of HiT Entertainment, a position he assumed in 2010. Before joining HiT, Derek spent five years with The Nielsen Company, most recently as Senior Vice President of Finance for Global Media Client Services. He also served as the Vice President of Transformation and Senior Vice President of Finance for the Business Media division. Prior to his time at Nielsen, Derek served in senior level financial positions at Ziff Davis Holdings, online job site Monster Worldwide, Inc., and Major League Baseball. Derek began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Ernst & Young, having graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Vivek Shah

Director Vivek Shah has been a director of TheStreet, Inc. since May 2010.
Mr. Shah is the CEO of Ziff Davis, Inc., a leading digital media company specializing in the technology vertical, reaching over 40 million in-market buyers and influencers each month.
Mr. Shah was formerly group president, digital for Time Inc.'s news, business and sports properties, which include Time.com, Life.com, CNNMoney.com, SI.com, FanNation.com, Golf.com and SIKids.com. Mr. Shah also served as president of the Fortune/Money Group, which included the magazines Fortune, Money and Fortune Small Business and the website CNNMoney.com. Prior to that, Mr. Shah served as president of digital publishing of the group where he oversaw the launch of CNNMoney.com, one of the Web's largest finance sites.
Mr. Shah holds a BA in Political Science from Tufts University.
